Deck the Halls, and Joy to the World! ‘Tis the season . . . to boycott stores that say Happy Holidays?
In October, the American Family Association (AFA) encouraged their two million online followers to contact PetSmart because PetSmart wasn’t using the word “Christmas” in their advertising. Two days later, PetSmart saw the light and issued a statement assuring us that they will indeed say “Christmas” in some of their ads.
In November, Walgreens was the target. After what the AFA termed “a flood of calls,” they, too, saw the light.
But I think the AFA is barking up the wrong tree.
