The House of Representatives yesterday rejected the Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act (PRENDA), which would have banned sex-selection abortions–abortions done specifically because the baby is a girl, when what mommy and/or daddy wanted was a boy. (I’ve written about the international pandemic of gendercide here.)
For the most part, the vote ran along party lines, but 20 Democrats crossed the aisle in an unsuccessful effort to protect the lives of girls. And seven Republicans voted against the ban.
Ron Paul was one of the seven.
